The donation of the laptops that were purchased from the proceeds of the 1st CGFI Invitational Golf Tournament held in Baguio City in May was part of the provincial kick-off of the Brigada Eskwela program at Sinapangan Elementary School that was submerged during Typhoon Egay.

Officials of DepEd Abra led by Schools Division Superintendent Amador Garcia, Sr. and municipal officials led by Bangued Mayor Mila Valera through a representative witnessed the turnover of the laptops, along with the food and non-food items from other donors and benefactors.

Also this week, CGFI under its President Arnel Peil and Chair Douglas Rufino will motor to the Halsema Highway for the turnover of high-end android tablets to SPED Center, the  school beneficiary in Mountain Province.

The CGFI has also allotted funds for the purchase of construction materials for the completion of a school building that was started by residents from their personal funds to construct an extension school for learners of Kimpit Elementary School in Amlimay, one of the remote areas in Buguias, Benguet.

To recall, CGFI has allotted P300,000 each for the eight schools division of DepEd-Cordillera.

The schools division offices have submitted the identified projects to be funded from funds allotted by CGFI.
