About The CGFI

Brought together by their passion for golf, members of the CORDILLERA GOLFERS FOUNDATION INC. (CGFI) have fraternized to utilize the game of golf to pursue relevant, timely and worthwhile causes.

With the shared aspiration of CGFI Board of Trustees and Members to reach out to people in dire need while enjoying the sport they love; CGFI’s incorporation is geared toward the following Mission and Vision:

1. To enhance a spirit of competence, excellence, integrity, sportsmanship, camaraderie and purposefulness as an organization;
2. To foster good relationships with other golfers and golf organizations in the Cordilleras and the rest of the country;
3. To coordinate with other institutions and golfers’ associations in organizing civic programs and projects;
4. To contribute, solicit, collect, and otherwise raise funds, by hosting golf tournaments purposely for its’ projects geared toward charitable purposes, social and economic amelioration, and improvement of the lives of the less privileged in this northern highland region;
5. To organize and facilitate golf tournaments, similar to the well-established tournaments in the country, where top amateur players from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao compete for pride and glory;
6. To discover, train, and guide young aspiring golfers to excel in the sport, as they could represent the Cordillera region in national and international tournaments;
7. To promote the rich cultural heritage of the various ethnic groups in the Cordillera;

While it’s main goal is to be of help, it’s priority beneficiaries shall be the most needy sector, located in the far-flung areas of the Cordilleras, hardly accessible to government assistance and/or non-government help .
